have you ever loved a handbag from afar but found it doesn’t work for you when you try it on? I have, and for me it was the stunning Louis Vuitton Multi-Pochette Accessoires. I remember seeing this bag worn by Beverly Hills Housewife Lisa Rinna when it was first released and falling head over heels. then Kaitlin evaluated her Multi-Pochette last year, and I feel deeper in love. The bag was an instant hit and sold out online seemingly overnight, but I got lucky at my local Louis Vuitton boutique and got to try the bag on in my preferred color, classic monogram with the rose strap. I was sure I would fall in love upon seeing the bag in person, and was fully prepared to take the bag home with me. however upon trying it on, I found that it just looked silly on me. With disappointment crashing over me, I realized I just could not pull off the bag.
I love the idea of owning a bag that you can wear in one piece but that can also be deconstructed and worn other ways. I am a substantial fan of handbags that have multiple functions and ways to wear it, and the renowned Louis Vuitton monogram is a classic staple that will never go out of style. The utilitarian design and cross functions still have me yearning and I am honestly tempted to go try this bag on again after writing this post. I had written the bag off as I just could not fathom it working for me, but I still am in love when I look at photos online.
A similar design to the Louis Vuitton Multi-Pochette, I have also been wishing for the Prada Re-Nylon bag. Merging the renowned and nostalgic Prada nylon with a utilitarian design, I adore this bag. I haven’t tried the Prada on yet, but I am tempted to give it a go and see if I can wear the design comfortably. I absolutely adore the laid back look this bag oozes, it gives off the casual and amazing style that I objective for with my bags.
Another hesitation I have surrounding Multi-Pochette bags is wondering if they are a fleeting trend? The look is certainly distinct and doesn’t possess the traits of a classic bag (at least not in my opinion), but that raises an essential question. Are the traits of a classic bag changing in a post-COVID world? I find myself reaching for crossbody bags that I can just throw on much more than ever, and the Multi-Pochette look falls into that category. I love that you can use the smaller parts of the bag individually, which on their own certainly are classics.
